Light Rail Replaces School Buses in Minneapolis

Another game changer for trains in the 21st Century!

The Minneapolis Public Schools have ditched their school buses for high school students and given each student a light rail and public bus card instead.  This changes education.

Here's the story.  Here's the immediate effects:   1) Attendance goes up.  In the test, students who would have missed their school bus simply the next train or public bus.  2) For students, they now get to stay after school and participate in school activities instead of having to catch the bus home.   Next post: the long term effects are game changing.
