Teachers should be prohibited from dissing their students, especially to other teachers.
Maybe only 15% of teachers speak ill of their students publicly, but they should be disciplined for doing so.
Dissing students hurts one's teaching, definitely hurts your students' learning, and negatively impacts other faculty in their teaching. Ban it, prohibit it, and penalize teachers for doing it.

Yes. Adults who speak positively about experience lead happier and more productive lives. Both work life and home life benefit.

I also think teachers need to stop complaining about parents. I see blogs all the time where teachers just complain and complain about the parents. As a marketing director, I look at parents being one of teachers' key constituent groups. I know I would not be successful in my career if I disparaged the key constituent groups of my employer. That doesn't mean I never get irritated. It just means I keep my mouth shut.
