With 8 degrees showing on our outdoor thermometer, and lake effect snow obscuring our view of the lake, those of us who live at Carlin full-time are having a beautiful wintery morning.
We maybe have only 3" or so of snow, but the wind is whipping it around, and sticking it to the south side of the house. More is predicted for today and tomorrow.
When the lake becomes visible, the south half appears to have an ice cover, as we can see the snow settling on top of it. We will keep you posted.
Do any of you know an average or approximate date for ice cover from other years? If so, please click "comments" below, and share your information and observations. Thank you!
I hope you also are having a beautiful morning, wherever you are!
