We are wishing a happy Easter weekend to all, especially those of you in the snow belt again today. Each storm, our weather forecasters say, "South of Highway 29," and I know you shovelers wish just one of these storms would head north, where Carlin Lake could still use the moisture.
John picked up a catalog for Stormy Kromer hats at Abelman's in Bessemer this week. (What? You have never shopped at Abelman's? Put it on your list.)
Anyway, maybe some of the quotes from the catalog will confirm for you that living in Wisconsin, whether north or south, is a mark of real character!
"Winter, glorious winter! Nothing does a better job of getting the mealy-mouthed, warm-weather-loving weenies back in the house and off the streets. Folks with fortitude can go about their business without the noise pollution we in the Northcountry refer to as whining."
"Every time there's a March blizzard, you find two kinds of people--happy people and the sad-sacks who fail to see the humor in the whole thing!"
And, for the truly deranged:
"All good things must come to an end---it's called Spring."
