Brennan Listle, son of Tracey and Steve Listle, has now been in Afghanistan for a month. Tracey sends these photos from October 22nd, when the family was able to be with Brennan before he and his company were deployed.
Tracey and Steve have been able to speak to their son by phone several times from Afghanistan to know he arrived safely. They heard him tell about his first brush with violence--an Afghan boy who had been shot accidentally and was wheel-barrowed to the hospital. Brennan told his mom and dad that he experienced it all through the dual eyes of a soldier and of a father.
Tracey reports that Brennan has now been sent to a more "unprotected" area, and will be unavailable by phone, but says they are still able to communicate through letters.
Please keep Brennan and his state-side family in your thoughts and prayers. Tracey, signing herself "Semper Fi Mom," says they admittedly are having a tough time, and will welcome all the support they can get.
The photos are of Brennan with dad Steve, wife Tiffany, little son BJ (Brennan Junior), brother Noah, and sister Tyler trying out the weight of Brennan's gear.
