On a gray day, with snow showers predicted, last summer may already seem a long time in the past. So, on this slow news day, I'm sending you this photo of our final summer tomatoes.
If you might have noticed on a boat ride on the lake, we had a scraggly upside-down tomato plant hanging from the end of our pier. When frost threatened in September, we brought in lots of remaining green tomatoes. And, the last ones have finally ripened, now in almost-December, to give us one last taste of summer.
(Where else but the Carlin Lake blog can you get up-to-the-minute news coverage like this??)
Carm, I love the news coverage. You are a real Carlin Lake Treasure. Thank you so much for keeping this blog alive and well.
