Our lake community consists of many more retirees than children, so it's real news that we have TWO outstanding high school graduates this month.
Jason Bricco, son of Ron and Tracy, and Alex Watras, son of Carl, will be graduating from Lakeland Union High School on Sunday, June 5th. Both of these young men have been at home at Carlin their whole lives, and both have maintained honor student status in their four high school years.
Jason plans to head on to Nicolet College in Rhinelander, starting classes already this summer. He is enrolled as part of the university transfer program, and after two years at Nicolet, will go on the UW-Madison to major in computer science. (Address: 12412 Carlin Lake Drive)
Alex will also be going to UW-Madison, starting this fall toward a degree in some branch of engineering still be to determined. He's looking at biomedical, computer, or electrical engineering, and will probably declare a major his sophomore year. Alex spent several years as our lake water monitor, and has been active in music, athletics, and drama during his time at LUHS. (Address: 7228 Cty Hwy P)
Congratulations to both these fine young men and their parents on their outstanding high school records, and best wishes to both in the future! Stay in touch!
This is a topic which is close to my heart... Take care! Exactly where are your contact details though?
