The heavy snow and wind stopped about noon today. I can only guess at what the total snowfall was: maybe 18"? We'll hear what the TV weathermen say tonight.
It's still snowing lightly, and the forecast says we could get more snow before midnight. But, it certainly feels much calmer than this morning's weather.
We have the biggest snow drifts I've ever seen here. I think the one between our house and the lake is about six feet deep. I know my yardstick would definitely get buried!
The picture of the snowdrift on the top left is taken while I was standing. In the picture on the right, I sat down in my chair, and you can see how the lake gets hidden.
