The guys from the Carlin Boat Landing Group took the pier out of the water on a sunny morning yesterday, getting this annual job accomplished before today's rain. Air temperature was 35 degrees and frost covered the ground, so no one had any doubt that our summer boating season is over.
These fellows, motivated by Jeannie's monkey bread, worked so fast that I barely arrived in time to snap their photo on the lakeshore.
Thanks very much, Danny, Jim, John, Duanne, Richard, and Bill! And, especially, thanks to Jeannie, who provides the fuel that makes this team run!
