The pier at the Carlin Lake boat landing was installed yesterday in lickety-split time. If you had thought the pier crew was motivated only by Jeanne's monkey bread, you would be wrong. (Although I'm sure the guys will be hopeful about continuing the monkey bread tradition at take-out time next fall!)
This year Cecil, Danny, Duanne, Bob, Richard, and John were fueled by their Tuesday morning Skyview breakfast. Now, the pier is all set so you can easily get your boat afloat.
The first boat on the lake this summer belonged to Chuck and Karen Hayes, who circled the lake a week ago on Tuesday, April 28th. Cecil Davis must have been first with his pier, the very afternoon the ice went out, April 16th.
Thanks to Danny for these photos of the "Pier Group." I think Richard may be measuring the fish he expects to catch this summer! Or, maybe he's giving an open-armed welcome to all, for a fun summer at the lake!
