I can't disagree with CNN, who has suggested that April Fool's Day 2020 should probably be cancelled. After all, the events we are living through are more preposterous than any April Fool's joke could be. Catching your friends in a prank may seem less amusing that it has other years.
But we do need to keep our laughs and good humor! I admit I smile, thinking back to the first Carlin blog April Fool's, when everyone was told that in the interest of safety, for the annual pontoon float no alcoholic beverages would be allowed and that everyone must wear life jackets.
And my second favorite was when the BMX track was going to be constructed in the local gravel pit, enhancing tourism opportunities near Carlin Lake.
Thanks to those of you who send smiles by email or post on Facebook! We know we remain connected even across the distance.
(And, Happy April Fool's Day, nevertheless!)
