Whether you are here at Carlin or away, you are certainly aware of the big storm that went through the area on Monday night. We have lived through 42 hours without electricity, from 10:00 on Monday night to just about 4:00 now on Wednesday afternoon.
We have been mostly news-less, without wi-fi or tv, so I can't report on specific damages across the Northwoods. But, John spoke to two lines-workers this afternoon. When he told them where our home is located, they said how fortunate we had been----that Presque Isle and Marenisco had been particularly hard-hit.
I'm sure many of you have been to PI by now, and will have further information how things look there. The photo of trees is taken in Ramona's back yard, with the two big trees down between her and Killian's properties. And, the utility trucks lined in in Presque Isle came from the Facebook page today of the Northwoods Review, the new newspaper now in Presque Isle.
More rain and possible storms are predicted for tonight, so I hope they pass through without severe damage any place.
