Yesterday's February snowfall gave me some Northwoods news to share with you, and I guess provided me some energy to post here again.
We had been predicted two big days of snow, but Monday seemed mostly to bring snow showers, and by Tuesday noon, it almost seemed to be clearing off. But, between noon and 5 pm, it snowed like the dickens, and proved the weather forecasters had been right.
It was a lovely snowfall, the kind when you just want to sit by your windows and watch it fly. I'm not good at measuring or estimating, though. Ron stopped as he plowed driveways this noon, to observe that we had about 10" of new snow, and that seems pretty right to me.
The weather report on TV told that both Minocqua and Boulder Junction had received 9 inches of new snow, so 10" here seems like a pretty accurate estimate.
These two photos were taken of our driveway, after John had finishing snow-blowing. For those of you who are someplace south of here, I hope this gives a little picture of the snow depth.
The bright sunshine makes it look warmer than the current 11 degrees. I hope you are having a good winter day, wherever you are are on this day following 2/22/22!
